(1) The Minister must
carry out a review of the operation and effectiveness of this Act as soon as
practicable after —
(a) the
fifth anniversary of the commencement of this section; and
(b) the
expiry of each 5 yearly interval after that anniversary.
(2) In the course of
the review the Minister must consider and have regard to —
(a) the
need for the continuation of this Act; and
(b) any
other matters that appear to the Minister to be relevant to the operation and
effectiveness of this Act.
(3) The Minister must
prepare a report based on the outcome of the review and cause it to be laid
before each House of Parliament, as soon as is practicable after the report is
prepared but not later than 12 months after the end of the period of 5 years.
