In particular the
returning officer shall —
(1) appoint a
presiding officer to preside at each polling place at which he will not be
continuously present;
(2) appoint all
necessary assistant presiding officers, poll clerks and doorkeepers;
(3) furnish polling
places and provide ballot boxes;
(4) provide ballot
papers and copies of the roll for use at each polling place;
(5) appoint a
presiding officer and another officer to be in attendance with and operate
each mobile portable ballot box at each polling place appointed at an
institution or hospital, and at each place in a remote area where a presiding
officer and another officer are required to attend pursuant to section 100B.
