(1) A person shall not
knowingly or wilfully make a false statement in any electoral paper, or in
answer to any question under this Act, or in any information supplied to any
officer or canvasser for the purposes of the preparation of new rolls.
Penalty: $1 000.
(2) Subsection (1)
shall not affect the liability of any person to be proceeded against in
respect of any other offence, but he shall not be liable to be punished twice
in respect of the same offence.
(3) In this section
the words electoral paper include any prescribed form.
