Western Australian Current Acts Western Australian Current Acts (1) Proceedings under
this Subdivision in relation to the birth of a child may be instituted —
(a) at
any time during the pregnancy of the mother; or
(b)
after the birth of the child, but not later than 12 months after the birth
except by leave of a court.
(2) A court must not
grant leave under subsection (1)(b) unless it is satisfied that refusal to
grant leave would cause hardship to the applicant, the child or another
person.
