(1) A person must not
wilfully and without lawful excuse —
(a)
obstruct or interfere with any engineer, architect, surveyor, overseer,
worker, or other person in the performance of any duty or in doing any work
which they have authority to do under this Part; or
(b)
obstruct, interfere with, damage, destroy or remove anything constructed,
provided or done, under this Part; or
(c)
damage, destroy or remove any fence on land entered on or occupied under this
Part.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of $2 000.
(2) The cost of any
repair or reinstatement or the clearing of any obstruction necessitated by an
action referred to in subsection (1) is recoverable by the Minister from the
person in a court of competent jurisdiction.
