(1) If a lessor
suspects on reasonable grounds that a tenant has abandoned the residential
premises, the lessor may give a written notice to the tenant terminating the
agreement.
(2) The notice must be
in a form approved by the Minister and must —
(a) be
signed by or for the lessor or property manager; and
(b)
identify the residential premises; and
(c)
state the lessor is terminating the agreement because the tenant has abandoned
the premises.
(3) If the tenant does
not take action under section 76B to dispute the notice within 7 days after
being given the notice, the tenant is to be taken to have abandoned the
premises.
