Western Australian Current Acts Western Australian Current Acts (1) A person must not,
when the CEO, an investigator or police officer is performing a function under
this Act, hinder or obstruct the CEO, investigator or police officer.
Penalty: a fine of $20 000.
(2) If under this
section a person is charged with an offence in relation to an investigator it
is a defence to prove —
(a) that
the investigator did not show the investigator’s identity card to the
person or did not otherwise identify himself or herself to the person as an
investigator; and
(b) that
the person did not otherwise know that the investigator was an investigator.
