AUSTLII FACELIFT

Autosearch should make searching easier, especially for new or occasional users, as it does away with the need to specify the search type (eg this boolean query). Autosearch automatically recognises:

MILITARY LAW AND PEACEKEEPING LIBRARY

AustLII and The Defence Legal Service (TDLS) have cooperated to produce a valuable new resource on military law and peacekeeping.

The Military and Peacekeeping Law Library was launched in June, focusing on making AustLII's already extensive defence-related materials more easily accessed by military law and peacekeeping researchers. This cooperative project aims to create a comprehensive database for people seeking information on defence-related legislation, case law, treaties and other similar information. New databases comprising military law manuals and specialised case law will be added in the future. The Library is located at: <http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/special/mlpl/>.

AUSTLII TOOLBAR

Google has one, Yahoo has one, Alta Vista has one, now AustLII has one too!

The AustLII Toolbar allows you to search AustLII from any website page. It includes the AustLII menu which lists links for most of the major category materials for all Australasian jurisdictions. The toolbar also has buttons to link to the other Legal Information Institutes. The AustLII toolbar is available for Microsoft Internet Explorer as well as the Netscape and Mozilla web browsers.

Install it today: <http://www.austlii.edu.au/techlib/toolbar/>.
