FIVE NEW DATABASES

"Workers Compensation Commission of New South Wales - Presidential Decisions 2002-" The full text of all decisions of Presidential members of the Workers Compensation Commission of New South Wales on appeals against decisions of Arbitrators and leave applications for referral of novel and complex Questions of Law. from 2002 onwards is now available on AustLII. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT AUSTLII

AustLII is hiring new staff in 2006. We are looking for systems and project officers. These officers will be responsible for the development and maintenance of AustLII and WorldLII databases as well as developing AustLII and WorldLII systems and software. We are seeking applicants with strong skills in computer science. A background in law is highly desirable.

UNLOCKING IP PROJECT POSITION AVAILABLE

The "Unlocking IP" research project is offering an Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) research position for a technical researcher enrolling in a PhD at UNSW. The successful research student will receive a c.$25k tax free stipend and fee exemption.

NEW LEGAL PUBLISHERS SEARCH CONTENT

The CCH Trade Practices Commentary includes a major update of the Enforcement and Defences section at paragraph 18-220 onwards.

ONLINE HELP UPDATED AND EXPANDED

The AustLII online Case Law Help has been updated and now includes detailed hints for searching for (1) recent cases, (2) party names and by date.

The AustLII online Legislation Help has also been updated to take into account the 4 new repealed legislation databases above and the exciting point-in-time legislation system.
