A Bill for

An Act to amend the Public Sector Management Act 1994













The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:



1 Name of Act

This Act is the Public Sector Management Amendment Act 2005.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day after its notification day.

Note The naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3 Legislation amended

This Act amends the Public Sector Management Act 1994.

4 Review of government agencies or functions

Section 21 (2)

(2) The commissioner may authorise management reviews to be undertaken in relation to—

(a) the service or a part of the service; or

(b) the functions of the service or a part of the service; or

(c) the possible variation of the functions mentioned in paragraph (b) including the addition of functions to the service or a part of the service; or

(d) a matter referred to the commissioner by a member of the Legislative Assembly.
