AMENDMENTS TO THE AIRPORTS AMENDMENT BILL 2006

OUTLINE

The purpose of these amendments to amend the Airports Amendment Bill 2006 ("the Bill") is
to ensure that the government's benchmark for public consultation in the development of
airport master plan, airport environment strategies and major development plans at leased
federal airports is one of the longest when compared with other jurisdictions and ensures that
members of the community have adequate time to review and provide comment on these
important documents.

There is no financial impact.

     Bill.
