FEDERAL COURT OF AUSTRALIA ACT 1976 No. 156 of 1976 - SECT 44

Oaths and affirmations.
44. (1) A Judge may require and administer all necessary oaths and
affirmations.

(2) A person may, for the purposes of any proceeding in the Court, make an
affirmation instead of an oath.

(3) Subject to the Rules of Court, the forms of oaths and affirmations shall
be the same, as nearly as practicable, as those that are used in the Supreme
Court of the State or Territory in which the oath or affirmation is
administered.
