FEDERAL COURT OF AUSTRALIA ACT 1976 No. 156 of 1976 - SECT 8

8. The Chief Judge is the senior Judge of the Court and the other Judges have
seniority according to the dates on which their commissions took effect or,
where the commissions of 2 or more of them took effect on the same date,
according to the precedence assigned to them by their commissions.
