CRIMES (HIGH RISK OFFENDERS) ACT 2006 - SECT 20
Warrant of committal
20 Warrant of committal
(1) As soon as practicable after making a continuing detention order,
interim detention order or emergency detention order against an offender, the
Supreme Court must issue a warrant for the committal of the offender to a
correctional centre for the period specified in the order.
(2) A warrant
under this section is sufficient authority-- (a) for any police officer to
convey, or arrest and convey, the offender to the correctional centre
identified in the warrant, and
(b) for the governor of the
correctional centre to keep the offender in his or her custody in accordance
with the terms of the warrant.
