Review of use of division in relation to light vehicles
133A Review of use of division in relation to light vehicles
(1) The Minister must ensure a review is conducted of the use of this division
in relation to light vehicles.
(2) The review must consider-- (a) road safety
outcomes from the use of this division in relation to light vehicles,
including the following-- (i) the number of speeding offences involving
light vehicles and the trends in the commission of the offences,
(ii) the
impact on speeding by drivers of light vehicles,
(iii) the average speed of
light vehicles,
(iv) the estimated impact on crashes and other trauma
involving light vehicles, and
(b) the cost of using this division in relation
to light vehicles.
(3) The review must be undertaken as soon as possible
after the period of 18 months from the commencement of this section.
(4) A
report on the outcome of the review must be tabled in each House of Parliament
within 6 months after the end of the period of 18 months.
