(1) Transport for NSW is to maintain a register of driver licences (the
"NSW driver licence register" ) in accordance with this Chapter and the statutory rules.
(2) Transport for NSW also has the following functions under this Chapter--(a) to administer the driver licensing system established by this Chapter and the statutory rules,(b) to maintain the NSW demerit points register in accordance with this Chapter and the statutory rules,(c) to provide information about drivers in accordance with the statutory rules,(d) to exercise such other functions concerning driver licensing as are conferred or imposed by or under this Chapter and the statutory rules.
