7 Meaning of terms relating to registration

(cf Gen Act, s 3(1); STM Act, cl 1 of Dict; VR Act, s 4)

(1) Except as provided by subsections (2) and (3), in this Act
"registration" in relation to a vehicle means registration of the vehicle in the NSW registrable vehicles register, and
"registered" has a corresponding meaning.

(2) In this Act,
"registration in Australia" in relation to a vehicle means registration of the vehicle in an Australian registrable vehicles register, and
"registered in Australia" has a corresponding meaning.

(3) In this Act,
"registration in another jurisdiction" in relation to a vehicle means registration of the vehicle in an Australian registrable vehicles register (other than the NSW registrable vehicles register), and
"registered in another jurisdiction" has a corresponding meaning.
