EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations –

(a) prescribe, for the purpose of the Racing Regulation Act 2004  –

(i) certain matters relevant to bookmakers' registration bonds, including the amount, enforcement and disbursement of such bonds; and

(ii) the application process for bookmakers who wish to carry on business in partnership; and

(iii) the means of calculating unpaid commissions in certain circumstances; and

(iv) certain matters relevant to the registration of clubs; and

(v) certain fees and deposits that are payable under the Act; and

(b) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Racing (Miscellaneous) Regulations 2004 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
