FAMILY VIOLENCE PROTECTION ACT 2008 - SECT 124

Arrest for contravention of family violence intervention order

If a police officer believes on reasonable grounds that a person has committed an offence against section 123, the officer may, without warrant, arrest and detain the person.

Note to s. 124 inserted by No. 83/2012 s. 10.

Note

Section 459(1) of the Crimes Act 1958 provides for apprehension without warrant of a person reasonably believed to have committed an indictable offence.
