FAMILY VIOLENCE PROTECTION ACT 2008 - SECT 126

In this Part—

S. 126 def. of approved counselling inserted by No. 19/2017 s. 34.

"approved counselling" means counselling approved under section 133 ;

S. 126 def. of Chief Executive Officer inserted by No. 19/2017 s. 34.

"Chief Executive Officer" means the Chief Executive Officer of Court Services Victoria appointed under section 22 of the  Court Services Victoria Act 2014 ;

S. 126 def. of legal practitioner amended by No. 17/2014 s. 160(Sch. 2 item 41).

"legal practitioner" means an Australian legal practitioner;

S. 126 def. of relevant court amended by No. 33/2018 ss 26, 39(2), 47(b).

"relevant court "means—

    *     *     *     *     *

        (ab)     the Specialist Family Violence Court Division; or

        (b)     the Magistrates' Court sitting at a venue of the Court specified by the Minister by notice published in the Government Gazette; or

        (c)     the Children's Court sitting at a venue of the Court specified by the Minister by notice published in the Government Gazette.
