Jurisdictional limit of Magistrates' Court does not apply to civil penalty order

The jurisdictional limit for a civil proceeding specified under section 100(1) of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989 does not apply to a proceeding for a civil penalty order against a person for the contravention of a civil penalty provision.
