(1) A Panel may do any of the following if a document or thing is produced under this Part to the Panel under this Act—
(a) examine or inspect the document or thing;
(b) retain the document or thing for any period reasonably necessary for the purposes in relation to which the document or thing was produced;
(c) make any copies of, or take any extracts from, the document or thing that are reasonably necessary for the purposes in relation to which the document or thing was produced;
(d) do any other thing that is reasonably necessary for the purpose of the Panel performing or exercising functions or powers under this Part.
(2) If a document or thing ceases to be reasonably necessary for the purposes in relation to which it was produced, the Panel must, at the request of any person who appears to be entitled to the document or thing, cause the document or thing to be delivered to the person.
