ANIMAL WELFARE ACT 1992 - SECT 84A
Powers of veterinary practitioners regarding seized animals and
carcasses (1) A veterinary practitioner may take
a sample of tissue, blood, urine or other bodily material from an animal or
carcass seized under this Act.
(2) A veterinary
practitioner may perform a post-mortem on—
(a) a dead seized animal; or
(b)
a seized carcass.
