CIVIL AVIATION REGULATIONS 1988 - REG 59

Transfer of manufacturer's data plate to another aircraft etc prohibited

  (1)   A person must not attach, to an aircraft, aircraft engine, aircraft propeller, propeller blade or propeller hub, a manufacturer's data plate that bears information about another aircraft, engine, propeller, blade or hub.

Penalty:   50 penalty units.

  (2)   A person must not mark on an aircraft propeller, propeller blade or propeller hub information:

  (a)   about another propeller, blade or hub; or

  (b)   about a fictitious propeller, blade or hub.

Penalty:   50 penalty units.

  (3)   A person must not mark on a balloon heater:

  (a)   information about another balloon heater; or

  (b)   information about a fictitious balloon heater.

Penalty:   50 penalty units.

  (4)   An offence against subregulation   (1), (2) or (3) is an offence of strict liability.
