CRIMES (ADMINISTRATION OF SENTENCES) REGULATION 2014 - REG 103
Special arrangements for legal documents
(1) An authorised officer may inspect or examine, but not read, any document
or other recorded material, including information recorded in electronic form,
that is taken into a correctional centre by an inmate's legal practitioner for
the purpose of discussing or transacting legal business.
(2) The governor of
a correctional centre must ensure that arrangements are made for an inmate and
the inmate's legal practitioner to have joint access to any document or other
recorded material that is taken into the centre for the purpose of discussing
or transacting legal business.
(3) Nothing in this clause limits the
operation of clause 100.
