CIVIL PROCEEDINGS ACT 2011 - SECT 41
Case appraisal
(1)
"Case appraisal" is a process under the rules in which a case appraiser
provisionally decides a dispute.
(2) A case appraiser’s decision is not
binding on the parties until— (a) the time prescribed under the rules for
filing an election to go to trial has passed; and
(b) a court, by order,
gives effect to the decision.
