PERSONAL INJURIES PROCEEDINGS ACT 2002 - SECT 67A
Exemption from s 67(3) and (4)
67A Exemption from s 67(3) and (4)
(1) A person does not commit an offence against section 67 (3) (a) or (4) (a)
if— (a) the person gives the potential claimant, or someone on the potential
claimant’s behalf, the name, address or telephone number of a particular
practitioner or law practice (the
"information" ); and
(b) the person, in giving the information, is acting on
behalf of a community legal service or industrial organisation; and
(c) the
community legal service or industrial organisation approved of the giving of
that information by the person.
(2) In this section—
"community legal service" see the Legal Profession Act 2007 , schedule 2 .
"industrial organisation" means a federal organisation, or an organisation, as
defined under the Industrial Relations Act 2016 , schedule 5 .
