Disclosure of interests
518 Disclosure of interests
(1) This section applies to a relevant employee if— (a) the employee, or a
person who, under a regulation, is related to the employee, has a direct or
indirect financial interest in an issue being decided, or about to be decided
by the authority (whether or not under a delegation from the authority); and
(b) the interest could conflict with the proper performance of the
employee’s duties about the decision.
(2) As soon as practicable after the
employee becomes aware of the facts causing this section to apply to the
employee, the employee must disclose the nature of the interest to the
authority.
(3) In this section—
"relevant employee" means— (a) an employee of the employing office or of
another government entity who performs work for the authority under a work
performance arrangement; or
(b) an employee of the authority.
