(1) In addition to and
not in derogation from the relevant right conferred on the licensees of
licences under the Petroleum Act 1940 , the grant of which are authorised
by this Act, those licences shall confer on the licensees a right to construct
and maintain all facilities being pipelines, pumping stations, tanks and roads
as are necessary for the operations to be conducted under the Unit Agreement
with respect to any area within the Subject Area not then comprised in any
such licence.
(2) In this
section—
"the relevant right" means the right conferred under section 33 of the
Petroleum Act 1940 .
