(1) A person who intends to apply for admission to the legal profession is to cause a notice of that intention to be published within such period and in such a manner as are prescribed by the admission rules.(2) A person who wishes to extend or shorten the period referred to in subsection (1) may apply to the Supreme Court for an order to that effect.(3) A person who makes an application under subsection (2) is to forward a copy of that application to the Board, the Law Society and any other relevant professional association.(4) The Supreme Court must not hear an application unless (a) it is satisfied that the provisions of subsection (3) have been complied with; and(b) the Board, the Law Society and any other relevant professional association are given an opportunity to appear before the Court hearing the application.
