Objective

1. Objective



The objective of these Regulations is to minimise the incidence and severity
of accidents involving cranes, fork-lift trucks, hoists and other
mechanical loadshifting equipment, pressure equipment and scaffolding by
establishing minimum standards of competency for people working with that
equipment and implementing a certification system to ensure that those
standards are observed.
