ANIMAL WELFARE ACT 1992 - SECT 73A

In this part:

"approval "means—

        (a)     an authorisation; or

        (b)     a circus permit; or

        (c)     a licence; or

        (d)     a pet business licence; or

        (e)     a trapping permit; or

        (f)     a travelling zoo permit.

"approved person "means the holder of an approval.

"regulatory body" means—

        (a)     for an authorisation holder—the animal ethics committee; or

        (b)     for a circus permit-holder, licensee, licensed pet business, trapping permit-holder or travelling zoo permit-holder—the authority.
