Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) Part IV applies in relation to a local government body only to the extent that it carries on a business, either directly or by an incorporated company in which it has a controlling interest.
"local government body" means a body established by or under a law of a State
or Territory for the purposes of local government, other than a body
established solely or primarily for the purposes of providing a particular
service, such as the supply of electricity or water.
