VEGETATION MANAGEMENT ACT 1999 - SECT 10
State policy for vegetation management
(1) The Minister must prepare a policy for vegetation management for the
State.
(2) Without limiting subsection (1) , the policy must state— (a)
outcomes for vegetation management and actions proposed to achieve the
outcomes; and
(b) special considerations for significant community projects.
(3) The Governor in Council, by gazette notice, may approve the policy.
(4)
The policy is not subordinate legislation.
(5) In this section—
"significant community projects" means projects the chief executive considers
have an aesthetic, conservation, cultural or economic benefit to a local or
regional community or the State, including— (a) a project that serves an
essential need of the community; and Examples— essential infrastructure,
school
(b) a project that significantly improves the community’s access
to services. Examples— hospital, State or local government library or
museum
