VEGETATION MANAGEMENT ACT 1999 - SECT 9
What is vegetation management
(1)
"Vegetation management" is the management of vegetation in a way that achieves
the purpose of this Act.
(2) For subsection (1) , the management of
vegetation may include, for example, the following— (a) the retention or
maintenance of vegetation to— (i) avoid land degradation; or
(ii) maintain
or increase biodiversity; or
(iii) maintain ecological processes;
(b) the
retention of riparian vegetation;
(c) the retention of vegetation clumps or
corridors.
