Restriction on right of lessee to remove buildings Where under a lease existing on the twenty-fourth day of August One thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven a lessee has the right to remove buildings at the end of his term he shall not be entitled to remove the same or any part thereof unless- (a) he first pays to the lessor or to the Board all the costs and expenses and interest paid by or payable under this Part or any corresponding previous enactment by the lessor in respect of any drains appliances apparatus and connexions constructed by or at the cost of such lessor for the purposes of the buildings so removed; or (b) the removal of the buildings or such portion thereof as is removed is effected without injury to such drains appliances apparatus and connexions.
