Examiners previously authorised under other legislation may conduct assessments for 12 months

38. Examiners previously authorised under other legislation may conduct
assessments for 12 months



A person who immediately before the day these Regulations came into operation
was authorised to conduct examinations for certificates of competency-

   (a)  on behalf of the Chief Inspector of Lifts and Cranes under the Lifts
        and Cranes Act 1967; or





   (b)  on behalf of the Board of Examiners for steam engine drivers and
        boiler attendants under the Boilers and Pressure Vessels Act 1970-

may conduct assessments for the certificates of competency specified in
writing by the Minister as being certificates that the person is authorised to
conduct assessments for, but only for a period of 12 months from the day these
Regulations came into operation.
